Celebrating International Women's Day 2022

Celebrating International Women’s Day at Autoweb

Author: Natalie Banks - Digital Marketing Specialist

International Women’s Day is just around the corner, on the 8th March to be exact. Because of this, we wanted to celebrate the women we have working here at Autoweb Design (don’t worry, we’ll do the same for the men in November).

You might be surprised to know that here at Autoweb, we have a 44/56 split between men and women - four of those women are in leadership roles.

We thought this would be the perfect time to let you know a little bit about the women who hold these positions here at Autoweb and how they got to where they are now.

Emma – HR Manager

Emma joined our team towards the end of 2021, bringing with her over 20 years’ experience in HR Management.

Part of Emma’s role is to facilitate monthly company updates which bring the whole of Autoweb together to discuss product updates, structural changes and welcome any new starters to the team.

Here at Autoweb, we often implement incentives that involve all staff members, which are designed to improve the physical and mental health of all our team members. Emma will be involved in facilitating these incentives, as well as the wellbeing programme we have in place to ensure all members of staff feel well cared for and part of the team.

In her free time, Emma enjoys riding motorcycles, walking her dogs, Dave and Melvyn, and spending time with her family.

Amanda – Business Development Manager

Amanda joined the Autoweb team back in 2018 as an Account Manager. During her time at Autoweb, she has been promoted to Account Director before moving over to the Sales team to take on the role of Business Development Manager.

Amanda has formed great relationships with a lot of our customers from the previous positions she has held within the company.

A keen leaner, Amanda has extensive knowledge of the website design process and the ancillary marketing services we offer here at Autoweb.

With over 25 years’ experience working at big named groups such as Hartwell, Evans Halshaw, JCT600 & RRG, Amanda’s knowledge of the dealer network is second to none.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys mountain biking. Having cycled 130 miles of the Leeds – Liverpool canal last year for charity, this year’s adventure is to complete the Coast to Coast.  When she’s not on her bike, in the summer months you’ll find her on her narrowboat, meandering around the UK’s canal network.

Victoria – Account Director (Programme Coordinator)

Victoria joined the Autoweb team back in summer 2020, at a time where the pandemic was at its peak. Initially working from home, Victoria integrated well into the wider team from the start and formed relationships with our customers, primarily via video call technology.

Starting her Autoweb career as an Account Manager, Victoria quickly made progress within the team and was promoted to Account Director after just 10 months with the company.

Victoria has extensive sales experience and has worked in customer facing environments throughout her career.

In her free time, Victoria enjoys reading, wall climbing with her family and spending Saturday mornings in the freezing cold watching her son play football.

Sinead – Product Support Manager

Sinead is one of our long-standing members of staff, having been with Autoweb for over 15 years. Responsible for facilitating new website builds, Sinead is often one of the first points of contact our customers have with Autoweb.

Sinead’s main job roles include approving/completing onboarding documents for new sales, coordinating the configuration of new websites, liaising with customers to ensure all information is received ready for build, providing support and insight to both colleagues and customers and facilitating the Product workflow for future deployment.

In her free time, Sinead enjoys socialising with friends, spending time with family, including taking her son on days out and walking her two Patterdale Terrier dogs, Millie and Marley.

What is International Women’s Day?

International Women’s Day aims to provide awareness of women in work, technology and sport, supporting their achievements and trying to close the gender gap on inequality.

Autoweb are proud to have some talented and knowledgeable women working for the company, all with the same goal in mind – to provide exceptional service for our customers. If you’re interested in working for Autoweb, get in touch with us over at our careers page.
